Bella and Edward's wedding

"Edward: I, Edward Cullen, take you Bella Swan to have and to hold.
Bella: For better or for worse.
Edward: For rich or for poor.
Bella: In sickness and in health.
Edward: To love...
Bella: To cherish as long as we both shall live.
"

The wedding of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan took place on August 13, 2006[1][2] at the Cullen mansion in Forks, Washington.

History[]

Preparation[]

Edward and Bella wedding

Edward proposed to Bella multiple times, but it wasn't until June that she accepted his proposal and let Alice coordinate the wedding and the guest list, though Bella insisted on maintaining veto-power on the latter. Alice had Perrine Buyere design the gown.

Wedding Day[]

On the wedding day, Rosalie volunteered to fix her hair. The Denali coven, with the exception of Irina, attended the wedding as the Cullens' cousins. Bella was extremely nervous when the ceremony started, but once she saw Edward, all her fears disappeared and the ceremony went on smoothly. Mr. Weber, Angela Weber's father, officiated the wedding. Bella had requested they change the phrase "til death do us part" to "as long as we both shall live".

Reception[]

During the reception, Edward noted that Mike Newton was having inappropriate thoughts about Bella, but decided to ignore him because he was too happy at the moment. The Denalis greeted and welcomed Bella into the family. Jacob Black attended the wedding reception in secret, outside the party. Bella danced with him while Edward left them alone. They were happy until Jacob found out she was planning on consummating her marriage as a human, causing him to nearly lose control. Edward and the other wolves intervened and forced him away. Bella decided to forget his appearance and enjoy the rest of the party, which proved easy. After the reception, Bella and Edward went on their honeymoon to Isle Esme, where they consummated their marriage.
