Saint Marcus' Day is a religious celebration held on 19th of March,[1] the date Saint Marcus was said to run all of the vampires out of Volterra, Italy.

New Moon

Bella Swan and Alice Cullen arrive in Volterra during the festivities; when Bella notices the commotion, Alice explains her the actual truth; vampires are still there and Saint Marcus is Marcus of the Volturi.
